The Challenge

The Efferent team wanted to upgrade their brand identity and product experiences; we collaborated with them to first understand what they wanted to convey with their brand and to help them craft a new identity system that would accurately convey that.

The Solution

After defining Efferent’s core attributes human-centric and technology driven, we developed the tagline to help the business anchor decision-making and positioning. The tagline ‘Absolutely Human’ served as the basis for the redesign and re-launch of their brand identity and products.

As captured in the tagline, Efferent is in the business of humanizing tech healthcare and the word ‘efferent’ meaning ‘Conveying away from a Center’. When it came to the redesign we combined an abstract illustration of the letter E and that of a body in flight, which symbolizes the move away from the regular; an efferent motion to form the brand’s icon. We made use of shades of green, lemon and yellow for the icon while using purple for the text representation. We made use of the Gotham font for the brand’s typography.
