Access to poor financial services plagues several African communities. In Nigeria, however, electronic payments have been growing 15% annually, with an explosive $320 billion worth of transactions conducted in 2018 alone.
And Kele, with its versatile digital prowess, isn't merely planning to be a part of this ensemble - they’re setting up to lead the whole industry.
Solution
Kele is an ecosystem that delivers a range of services from P2P transfers and airtime purchases to complex betting code generations and utility payments.
They needed a brand identity and mobile application experience that would declare to Nigerians: 'Delete the 25 other fintech apps on your phone. Kele is all you need.
Solution
A key determinant of our strategy was that Kele wanted to build an application that was easy to use by anyone, regardless of age or level of education. Accessibility and convenience were our guiding compass.
In designing the logo, we were inspired by one of Kele’s core offerings: “Digital Wallet for Seamless Payment Experiences” and thus crafted an open wallet and the letter ‘K’.
Solution
We also made use of bright colours - blues, greens, and oranges, that would help Kele’s brand be perceived as fun, approachable, and perfect for daily use.
Result & Conclusion
The visual language for Kele’s brand and app design will help keep things fresh and simple for the everyman. For the mobile app, we optimised for scalability, simplicity, convenience, security and speed- all of which are core to achieving delightful user experiences.
